If you go to Cape Cod, there are a lot of places you just can't miss. Here's a partial (and we mean partial) list:

Ice cream from Sundae School in East Orleans tastes good any time of year and on every sort of occasion.

The Wellfleet Drive-In Movie Theater. WOW, here's a "blast from the past! There's a dairy bar complete with burgers, ice cream and root beer floats, a playground and a miniature golf course. By day, the grounds frequently host flea markets and art shows.

Miniature golf courses. Kids and adults can both play the game, and there's room for all skill levels.

Cape Cod Highland Lighthouse in Truro. Originally built in 1797, the Highland Lighthouse is the tallest on the Cape. It was reconstructed in 1857, automated in 1986 and moved back from an eroding cliff in 1996. And it welcomes visitors!

Art in Provincetown. Ranging from fine art to paintings at small galleries.

Roadside food stands like Cobie's Clam Shack in Brewster.

Cape Cod Baseball League. This amateur league, established in 1885, shows off baseball in that wholesome, idyllic way that reminds you why it's America's favorite pastime.

The Cape Cod National Seashore.

Nickerson State Park in Brewster consists of 1,900 acres of woods right in between the Cape's sandy shores. There's not a sand dune or salty marsh in sight. Camping, bicycling, canoeing and catch-and-release fishing are all ways to spend the day.

Every Friday evening at 8:00pm from June 30 to September 1 all roads on the Cape lead to the band concert in Kate Gould Park on Main Street in Chatham. As many as six thousand people attend these concerts, and it will be one of the highlights of your summer on the Cape. There will be musical numbers by the band, folk dances for the children, dance numbers for grownups and community singing for everyone.

The capital of the world's wealthiest and most powerful nation possesses a graceful dignity that's captured in its monuments, museums and memorials. Only a handful of cities rival Washington, DC's history and influence, and visits to the Lincoln Memorial, the White House or the Smithsonian leave lifetime impressions, as do somber moments spent at the Arlington National Cemetery, the U.S. Holocaust Museum or the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. WashingtonDC.com's guide to the nation's capital embraces its neighborhoods and major attractions, hidden rooftop restaurants and power dining spots, as well as events ranging from street fairs and DJ nights to the national Cherry Blossom Festival held every spring.

Chicago is the largest city in both Illinois and the Midwest, and the third most populous city in the United States, with over 2.8 million residents. Its metropolitan area, commonly named "Chicagoland," is the 26th most populous in the world, home to an estimated 9.7 million people spread across the U.S. states of Illinois, Wisconsin, and Indiana. Chicago is primarily located within Cook County, with the exception of a small northwestern portion of the city at O'Hare International Airport that is located within DuPage County.

Chicago was founded in 1833, near a portage between the Great Lakes and the Mississippi River watershed. The Potawatomi were forcibly removed from their land following the Treaty of Chicago. The city became a major transportation and telecommunications hub in North America. Today, the city retains its status as a major hub, both for industry and infrastructure, with O'Hare International Airport being the second busiest airport in the world. In 2008, the city hosted 45.6 million domestic and overseas visitors.

ec-bp.com The Forum for Supply Chain Integration

ec-bp was established in 2005 as the advocate for lowering the barriers to the adoption of EDI, and our email newsletter has been published every month since that time. Our focus has expanded beyond EDI to encompas the full gamut of supply chain practices and technologies. In addition, our readership has grown to become the largest of any similarly focused publication, and has expanded to include more than 90,000 professionals involved in nearly every aspect of the supply chain.

Today’s supply chain is more than simple transport of EDI documents. The complexity of maintaining compliance with trading partners, managing the ever increasing amount of data, and analyzing that data to drive constant improvement in processes and service take supply chain professionals far beyond the basics of mapping EDI documents.

Historic Views of Yale University in New Haven

Connecticut, an easy drive from New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and eastern Pennsylvania for day and weekend trips, is the picturesque southern gateway to New England. The northwestern part of the Nutmeg State – the Litchfield Hills – is rich with rolling landscapes, dainty villages centered upon town greens, lots of hiking and bicycling trails, and many antique shops.

Hartford, in the central Connecticut River Valley, and its outlying cities offer many historic buildings such as the Old State House, the delightfully quirky Mark Twain house, and the New England Air Museum in Windsor Locks. Fun on the asphalt can range from watching NASCAR races on the Stafford Motor Speedway to driving along U.S. 91 and viewing the region’s old tobacco barns and fields.

Returning to the shoreline, the coastal Fairfield region presents a range of outdoor and youthful fun: the Beardsley Zoo, a favorite for kids; the Maritime Aquarium in Norwalk; the Barnum Museum in Bridgeport. New Haven and its environs are the home of Yale University, with its magnificent architecture and world-class art museums; the Hammonasset Beach State Park, with miles of sandy beaches; and the Thimble Islands. Moving toward Mystic, on the eastern shore, the tables are busy every day of the year at the world-renowned Mohegan Sun Casino and the Foxwoods Resort and Casino. Don’t miss the chance to dine at the assortment of fine restaurants at the casinos.

Mystic itself offers the delightful Mystic Aquarium and the unique Mystic Seaport, a living history museum depicting coastal New England in the 19th century. Not far down the shore is the city of New London, home port of the United States Coast Guard Academy and its training ship, Eagle. New London’s Ocean Beach Park is an old-fashioned family beach with plenty of amusements for children. Plentiful shopping can be found in the Tanger Outlet Center in Westbrook, the Clinton Crossing outlets in Clinton, and at Olde Mistick Village in Mystic. And in the quiet, northeastern corner are the lovely villages of Pomfret, Woodstock, and Lebanon and enough antique shops to keep a lover of that persuasion on the move for many days.
